The Monster household has been busy the past couple weeks. P’s dad came to help fix some things around the house – our chimney needed to be recapped and we needed some re-pointing work done too.
Fortunately for P/unfortunately for P’s dad, his visit out also coincided with P renting a chipper to take care of some recently felled trees in our backyard. So he also helped P out with that, which made it go a lot faster!
Monster loved the chipper! This was both a good and a bad thing. Good because he wasn’t scared by the sound of it. Bad because it was quite loud, so I had to keep him indoors to protect his hearing, which he did not appreciate!
As usual, I did a poor job of documenting the “before” – but here are some in-progress pictures for your viewing pleasure. As you can see, there was a lot of improvement made to our house recently!
With P back in school, I think our major home improvement projects are on-hold for the rest of the year. But there are still plenty of small projects left to work on through-out the fall and winter. We’re grateful that P’s dad was able to come out and help us with such a big project! Thanks, Grandpa!
